On the 17th of October, in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal number 1 – No Poverty, we celebrate the international day for the eradication of poverty. The theme this year is “Acting together to empower children, their families and communities to end poverty” and Endaze School would like to support this by encouraging the whole school community to contribute by donating as many packs of milk and boxes of biscuits as possible from now until the last week in December. In this last week of term, our giving back to the community week, a team of secondary students will deliver these donated goods to ‘El Pato Amarillo’ where they will partake in some service work to help and understand the difficult circumstances of our most needy neighbours in Madrid. At school, our student ambassadors are looking at ways to raise awareness and our art & design, visual communication team are designing posters to do the same following an assembly yesterday involving some year 10 students. At Endaze, we consider this initiative a truly worthy cause and invite everyone to contribute, as explained to our students in the assembly – every contribution, however small, makes a difference.
